Photographer and journalist Alain Kubacsi specializes in flower and garden photography.
French photographer and journalist Alain Kubacsi began his career in 1985, after a year reporting from South Africa for the surfing press. Between two assignments as a doctor at INSEP, he settled in Tignes and devoted himself to mountain and board sports photography. For fifteen years, he worked with magazines specializing in skiing, mountaineering and outdoor sports, while co-founding a magazine dedicated to surf and snow cultures.
His work was soon published internationally. A report on icesurfing in Quebec won him widespread recognition: one of his photos became emblematic and marked the start of a regular collaboration in the field of sports.
From the 2000s onwards, he turned his attention to nature. Trained by a specialist in garden photography, he developed a precise, poetic style. He became a regular freelancer for the specialized press and a City of Paris-approved photographer for green spaces. The Parc Floral de Vincennes and the École du Breuil became his favorite haunts, offering an inexhaustible source of inspiration every season.
