Self-taught photographer capturing nature’s mystery and poetry beyond mere reality.
Nature and photography have been part of my life since I was very young. I taught myself by reading everything I could get my hands on about photography. I experimented with analogue and black and white processing, where I learned all about the chemical process of developing images.
In nature I find mystery, calm, the magic of the ephemeral, the beauty of forms, subtle encounters; it's my most precious muse and my place of recreation. It's a vital need to communicate that drives me to preserve the essence of the moments I experience, to reflect my little dream worlds with my camera.
In my photographs, I don't seek to produce a documentary image, or to capture reality, but rather to recreate myself in search of a more expressive and imaginative image. Although all my images were taken in the wild and all the animals were photographed in the wild and in their natural environment, I strive to represent more photographic concepts where my way of showing reality takes precedence over fidelity to what I see.
