Yves Lefèvre is a French renowned underwater photographer and professional diver, specialising in the marine fauna of French Polynesia. A pioneer of diving in the Tuamotu archipelago, he founded the Raie Manta Club in Rangiroa in 1985, the first diving centre dedicated to observing manta rays, dolphins, sharks and whales.
With over 40 years' experience, he has worked on prestigious documentaries: Ushuaïa Nature (Nicolas Hulot), Atlantis (Luc Besson), BBC, Arte, National Geographic. He is also the author of magnificent photo books such as Rangiroa, sous le signe du poisson and co-author of the Guide des poissons de Tahiti et ses îles, a reference in tropical ichthyology.
A specialist in marine wildlife photography, Yves Lefèvre captures the intensity of the underwater world: sharks, mantas, cetaceans, coral... Each image aims to raise awareness of the need to protect the oceans and to showcase the rich ecosystems of the Pacific. He is also developing responsible diving and ecotourism projects around the world (Colombia, Amazonia, Orinoco).
